Squeegiabacus was the result of an open call for a temporary, 4-month long, interactive sculpture garden using re-cycled or re-used elements. The blue squeegie that comes inside every box of adhesive used at my freelance job, sparked the idea to make a child’s toy abacus in giant size. I replaced the usual colored wooden balls with 100 re-used squeegies, and painted it like a carnival piece for a whimsical twist on the original ancient calculator.
